But please be aware that cellular data used on the ship or in certain ports of call will result in charges from your cell phone provider. Any usage while on the cruise ships system probably called Cellular at Sea will result in roaming charges on your ATT bill. In case the cruise ship internet connection is fast enough you can use WiFi calling to call and text someone onshore without using the cellar network.

Alternatively you can use wifi. As mentioned above wed recommend using the ships wi-fi to use your phone. You can still connect to Wi-Fi either via the ships connection or via free Wi-Fi connections in ports of call but you wont have to worry about accidentally making a pricey 5-minute pocket-dial.
